Sony Just Revealed $85 GTA VI Controllers, and Preorders Open Before You'd Expect

The limited-edition Grand Theft Auto VI DualSense controllers ship alongside the game on November 19 — but preorders open a full two months earlier, on September 10.

Sony used its latest State of Play to unveil two limited-edition PlayStation 5 DualSense wireless controllers built around Grand Theft Auto VI, confirming both the design and a real preorder date well ahead of the game's own launch. The controllers come in white and black colorways, both featuring a pearlescent finish where the joysticks sit, hot-pink accents on the face buttons, the GTA VI logo on the touchpad, and palm trees molded directly onto the controller shell.

Each controller is priced at $85. Preorders open September 10 directly through Sony's own webstore, along with what Sony describes as "select retailers," and the company has confirmed the run will be available in "limited quantities globally" — language that usually signals genuine scarcity rather than routine marketing caution.
